US AND THEM

Once when I went to a restaurant I overheard a lady telling her son not to behave like an animal. To which the boy replied laughing, " What's the harm in being an animal?"The boy might have said it jokingly but his sentence left a lasting impact on me mind. I began to consider what he had said."Are we really worse than animals?"I didn't find a suitable answer to my question and became restless. A couple of days later I came across a headline in the morning newspaper which informed that a major portion of  the Amazon rain forests had been burnt. I was shocked. Weren't those forests home to millions of species. Weren't those poor nestlings waiting for their mother to return with food but were greeted by roaring fire instead.Great you cage animals in zoos because they enter your houses knowing very well that it is because of you that they are homeless now! Then some time later another incident took place which totally changed my view on animals. I w

RAKSHA BANDHAN It is festival of paying gratitude to the people or things which protect us in one way or another. Like our parents protect us from the world, our brother protects us as if we are made up of glass.   But the thing which protect us the most are TREES   which protect us from the harmful gases and give us oxygen which are a kind of ' amrit*'  for us living beings. We must pay are gratitude towards the trees. no need o buy a rakhi**of 10 Rs. for them just plant a sapling and  they will give you oxygen to  as a gift. *a boon **a band which is tied by the sister on the wrist of her brother on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan(A festival in Hindu mythology) THANK YOU -PRATHA

This corona virus pandemic is nothing else, mother earth is returning us what we did with her and trying to heal herself. Now it's our duty to take one step forward and not pollute her further. We the children of mother earth can take a pledge to ensure that we will not use plastic bags. We can make some cloth bags from old sofa cover, torn t-shirts, towels, bed sheets etc. which will not harm the nature at all. Let's see how- First of all let us see using an old t-shirt You will need: Old t-shirt  Sharp scissors, preferably fabric scissors Direction Step 1: Cut the sleeves off If you’d like to fold the t-shirt in half you can cut both sleeves at once so that they are identical.  Step 2:  Cut the neckline area If you’d like, you can turn the shirt inside out and trace the outline of a bowl before cutting.  Step 3:  Determine how deep you want the bag to be.  If you haven’t already turned your t-shirt inside out, do it now. THE BEST MUM

Today, on Mother's Day  thousands of people all around the world are wishing their mothers and are thanking them for their love and support. But what if I tell you that a mother exists in this selfish world who loves and cares for millions of children. A  mother who has provided and keeps on providing her a children a place to live, food to eat, jewelry to wear, water to survive, friends for company and various more. And do you know what her children have given to her?Well they have taken all her beauty and have burnt her lungs. They have dirtied her and disrespected her. These children sound awful, don't they?Well let me reveal who they are, the mother who serves us day and night is our dear earth and her ungrateful children are we, humans. According to Mahatma Gandhi, "The earth provides enough to satisfy everyone's needs but not everyone's greed." We have been so blinded by greed and hypocrisy that we have covered our eyes with the curtain of selfishness. How

A STORY FROM THE FUTURE

20 October,2158 Monday,9:00 pm Dear Diary,                    Today I got really tired as my Robot was not functioning properly.I had to take a glass of water for myself and had to comb my hair on my own!Quite tiring isn't it?When I complained to my mother about this, my granny heard it and told me that my great-great-great grandfather used to do all his work on his own, even buying items from the market!Seriously If I would have been alive then, I would have died!Well to be on the plus side people didn't have to wear oxygen masks then or pure water wasn't imported from Antarctica through melted glaciers.Life was tough but enjoyable.Back then clothes were made up cotton or wool, unlike these days when we have to wear itchy and scratchy clothes made up of plastic. Also people didn't eat these disgusting capsules for nutrients, they ate different food of different varieties everyday!Do you know that today our Science teacher told us that long ago I guess thousand ye
