THE BEST MUM

Today, on Mother's Day thousands of people all around the world are wishing their mothers and are thanking them for their love and support. But what if I tell you that a mother exists in this selfish world who loves and cares for millions of children. A  mother who has provided and keeps on providing her a children a place to live, food to eat, jewelry to wear, water to survive, friends for company and various more.And do you know what her children have given to her?Well they have taken all her beauty and have burnt her lungs.They have dirtied her and disrespected her. These children sound awful, don't they?Well let me reveal who they are, the mother who serves us day and night is our dear earth and her ungrateful children are we, humans. According to Mahatma Gandhi, "The earth provides enough to satisfy everyone's needs but not everyone's greed." We have been so blinded by greed and hypocrisy that we have covered our eyes with the curtain of selfishness.How much do we trouble our earth?It provided us with water to quench our thirst, so we repaid her back by polluting it. She gave us trees to provide us with  every basic thing in our life so we began to cut them to.She provided us with animals so that we are not alone and we began to kill them.Have we ever stopped and reviewed as to why are we doing this?This mother's day let us pledge that along with caring for our own dear mothers we will care for our other mother as well. The mother who has given us every necessity of our life. Look beyond the veil of selfishness.Think as a worthy son or daughter of mother earth and try to repay her in every possible way you can!HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!
